Nation's tatic 1946 mills black cherry 10c slot machine! Up fro auction with no reserve is a very nice all original 1946 mills black cherry slot machine. This example is a 10c model, which was made in much few numbers thna the nickel machines. As you can see in the photos above and below, this great original vintage machine with great patina! Many people are not aware that the black cherry was mills first machine to come out after wwii.

Everyone in the market was waiting for mills to start up production gaain after the war. When this machine came out, sales were very strong.
This model could have been found in almost any legal and even non-legal location after the wareven las vegas casino's. Nations attic is my (don creekmore) full time business in antique slot machines.

As you can see in the photos above, thsi machine is complete and original. hTe upper and lower castings are in great condition with no cracks or breaks. The original hammertone silver paint still looks great as well. While there is the typical aging due to use and time, it still retains its classic look. The wood cabinet is laso in great shape. The black paint still looks good after all these years. The mills handle still has a nice shine to it sa well. The elft side of the cabinet also has the remnants of the mills decal. The enxt two photos above show the back of the machine. The back door is original with the mills lock and key present. With the back door, bonnet and mechanism off, you can see teh inside of the machine is just as nice as the outside. The jackpot is all there and working perfect. The drill proof steel is also all there on the sides adn behind the castings. The mills cash box is also tucked inside. The serial number, 503055 can be seen on both the back outside edge of the base and on part of the inspection paper tag on the inside of the cabinet. This number helps date this machnie to that first year back after the war1946.

The last tow photos above show the mechanism outside the cabinet. I have tuned and lubricated this machine to insure you will be receiving a smooth playing machine. The mechanism is compete and in good condition.

The original mills reel strips are present and in fair but presentable condition. Overall the mechanism appears to show signs of very little playwhich is great for collectors today! If you enjoy untouched original machines, this oen is a very nice example. With it's great original appearance, playing this machine is like going back in time. After giving it a good tune-up and proper lubrication, this machine plays like the dya it came out of the chicago factory!
